Performing Arts at MUWCI
Performing arts at MUWCI span theatre, music, and dance and run across the full two years. Productions, concerts, and performances are presented to the wider community throughout the year. The arts also connect directly to the IB: Theatre, Film Studies, and Visual Arts are offered as IBDP subjects at both Higher and Standard Level.
Theatre
Theatre at MUWCI operates on two levels: as an IB subject and as a co-curricular programme. The Improvisation Theatre group and student-produced dramatic performances take place throughout the year, drawing on the cultural diversity of the student body. Productions often blend multiple theatrical traditions.
Music
Music at MUWCI reflects the nationalities on campus. Ensembles, informal jam sessions, and structured groups bring together students with widely different musical backgrounds and traditions. Music Ensemble 101 is one example of a student-run group that has run in recent years.
Dance
Dance at MUWCI spans a wide range of traditions. Student-run groups have included K-Dance, Afro-Latin, Bollywood, and Improvisation Dance, reflecting the cultural mix of the campus. Performances take place at community events throughout the year.
